On Monday, FanDuel's brief dominance over mobile sports betting in the District of Columbia is expected to come to an end as BetMGM and Caesars get ready to grow their businesses there.
Within two blocks of each of their individual physical sportsbooks, those two brands are already able to provide mobile wagering. There are sportsbooks run by BetMGM at Nationals Park and Caesars at Capital One Arena. This gives them an advantage over other possible operators in the area because they have already overcome regulatory obstacles with the D.C. Lottery.
