Betting and Gaming Council hails practical effect of new sports betting industry codes

The new codes of conduct that have been developed for gambling-related agreements with major British sports bodies have been praised by the Betting and Gaming Council. The British Horseracing Authority, the Premier League, the English Football League, The FA, the Women's Super League, and the lobby group all contributed to the drafting of the voluntary agreements that were recently announced.

Moreover, organizations for boxing, snooker, and darts have revealed new codes. Four main principles—protection, social responsibility, reinvestment, and integrity—will guide the agreements as they seek to create new benchmarks for sponsorship of responsible gaming.
