Betway decides against launching in Massachussets

Betway notified the state's regulators during a recent meeting of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission that it would not be making its debut there.

After submitting an application and paying the $1 million license fee, the group was given the go-ahead to launch in February. At the time, Betway stated that the MGC had approved its planned launch date of early 2024. But, Betway has modified its plans and will now allow the license to expire rather than launching in the state now that it is about to expire.

The last I heard about this was that Betway was declined license by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission because they failed to fully comply with Anti Money Laundering regulations. Didn't hear that it was resolved.

Seems they had resolved it and were given license based on what the OP just said in the original post. Betway has huge presence in Africa and it's KYC is not that strong. Doubt it would be able to alter it's operation to suit the American market.
