Bill permitting online lottery ticket sales progresses in Indiana

After passing an Indiana House committee vote, a bill that would permit the Hoosier Lottery to sell lottery tickets digitally will move forward in the current legislative session.

The bill would allow the Hoosier Lottery to legally sell lottery tickets for draw games and eInstant games online.

In addition to establishing a framework to compensate traditional retailers affected by the digital shift and address the distribution of lottery revenue, the bill proposes fundamental changes to existing legislation that would enable Indiana to join other states in providing online lottery games.
