Several industry participants have remarked that the report issued by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, which identifies certain gambling firms as unlicensed, is harmful to the thriving gaming sector. According to a statement, the LSLGA published a public notice last week, declaring that 43 lottery and gaming platforms lacked the necessary permit to operate within the state. In light of this, the gaming community was advised to abstain from engaging with these platforms. However, the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, led by Lanre Gbajabiamila, countered this assertion, stating that the gaming operators labeled as unlicensed and illegal in the LSLGA's report held valid licenses to operate lottery and sports betting enterprises in Nigeria.
