Boston set to study Encore Boston Harbor casino's impact on youth

The City of Boston is looking for a research partner to carry out an institutional review on the effects on youth of an Everett commercial casino.

To construct an integrated resort casino in Everett, Wynn Resorts invested $2.6 billion. Since its June 2019 opening, Encore Boston Harbor has grown to be the Commonwealth's highest-earning casino in terms of revenue.

Municipal authorities in Boston now wish to investigate the effects the casino has had on Charlestown's youth.
