Botafogo owner reported to Brazilian federal authorities over match-fixing claims

A Brazilian senator has asked the federal police to look into the claims of match-fixing made by the owner of Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas against the football teams of São Paulo and Palmeiras.

Five São Paulo football players were accused by the owner of accepting bribes from Palmeiras in connection with the Brazilian Championship Series A match, which saw Palmeiras defeat São Paulo 5-0. He further asserted that he had proof for this.

This can be certainly possible if the loss to the team happening was actually not on the cards when a week team is able to defeat if it is strong team in any of the sports markets it definitely raises concerns over the market and therefore the environment of sports betting in the premises actually become pretty valid reason for people to think about it indeed
