Bratislava bans gambling for second time in three years

After receiving a petition against gambling, city council members in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, decided to outlaw it. The law will soon be put into effect.

Nitra has been trying to outlaw gambling since 2019, but hasn't been successful in passing any meaningful legislation. Other cities are also considering enacting their own laws.

The first attempt to outlaw gambling in Slovakia lasted less than two years, and this is the second time it has happened.
