Brazil gambling regulator orders block on 1,800 domains

The national telecoms company Anatel has been asked by the new gambling regulator in Brazil to impose block orders on 1,800 domains that it claims were providing online gambling without obtaining a federal license. Since September, this order has been issued three times. The three orders collectively list 5,200 gambling websites.Prior to the introduction of regulated online gambling, the Brazilian telecoms agency has been instructed to increase enforcement.
