Brazilian delay on modernization of land-based gambling rules

An impending vote on a federal bill to update Brazil's land-based gambling regulations for casinos, horse racing, bingo, and the sale of jogo do bicho (instant win games) has caused a significant delay in the country.

But in light of recent events, the Senate has decided to delay it until 2025. Following a regular session, a senator stated that the temporary measure was necessary because the framework still needed to be finalized.
