Brentford defeats Liverpool 3-1 as Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo secure a memorable victory for the upbeat Bees against the hapless Reds.

After beating Liverpool for the first time since 1938, Brentford added another spectacular chapter to their Premier League saga. An own goal from Ibrahima Konate, along with goals from Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo, made it a stunning 3-1 triumph. Similar to Leicester's Wout Faes on Friday night, Konate unintentionally put the ball in his own net to score the game's first goal (19), and Wissa duly doubled the hosts' advantage off a cross from Mathias Jensen (42). As the halftime, Liverpool exploded into action after Jurgen Klopp made a stunning triple substitution in which Virgil van Dijk was substituted, leading to a change of shape and momentary lapse in concentration.
