British gambling operators trump $100million pledge to tackle gambling harm

According to new data released by the Betting and Gaming Council, the top gambling companies in the United Kingdom have surpassed the £100 million pledged in 2020 to address the negative effects of gaming.

The five biggest members of the Betting and Gaming Council promised to donate £100 million in June 2020 to fund studies, outreach programs, and initiatives to mitigate the negative effects of gambling.

To finance gambling harm prevention, the association persists in advocating for a statutory levy, even in the face of voluntary contributions from its members.
