An International Federation of Horseracing Authorities report that reveals rising engagement rates with unlicensed horseracing wagering sites in the UK has prompted the British Horseracing Authority to voice concerns.
In fact, growth statistics from several legal and unlicensed or illegal horse racing betting websites in the UK market were considered in this most recent study.
Between 2021 and 2024, the number of unique visits to the ten authorized and legitimate websites that were taken into consideration for the study increased by 49%. But over the same time frame, there was a 522% increase in the overall number of unique visits to the 22 illegal, unlicensed sites that were part of the study.
