Caesars reportedly paid hackers ransomware demand

The number of computer breaches affecting Las Vegas Strip casino companies is increasing. Just two days after MGM Resorts International acknowledged it was the victim of a large-scale cyber attack, rival Caesars Entertainment is expected to inform investors that it was the victim of a ransomware strike.

Unnamed people with knowledge of the situation informed Bloomberg earlier today that the cyber outfit "Scattered Spider" just infiltrated Caesars with ransomware. It was successful in extorting the gaming corporation for an unspecified sum. According to unconfirmed speculation on X, the cyber thieves hit the Harrah’s operator for $30 million
