Cal Neva Resort and Casino bought by real estate firm situated in Denver

For an undisclosed fee, the Cal Neva Resort and Casino was sold to a Denver-based property developer. The Lake Tahoe establishment, which got its name from being on the Nevada-California border, debuted in 1926 and underwent renovations by Frank Sinatra in 1960. Cal Neva developed as a hangout for Sinatra and his "Rat Pack" pals as well as other celebrities, President John Kennedy, and allegedly members of organized crime in the years immediately following his enhancements. It remains to be seen if Cal Neva’s historic casino is in the cards for the new version of the property. However, it’s not a necessity because the region is already chock full of gaming properties.
