Camrose Casino receivership jeopardizes Edmonton move

The superior court of Alberta, Canada's Court of King's Bench, has placed the company that owns the Camrose Casino in receivership.

The accounting firm is authorized by the order to perform routine business on Mayfield's behalf and to alter door codes and locks at its properties.

On Thursday, Mayfield Investments Ltd. received the judgment for the unpaid debts owed to the province-owned bank ATB Financial as well as the default on the associated forbearance agreements.
 
Alberta's Court of King's Bench has placed the company owning Camrose Casino, Mayfield Investments Ltd., into receivership due to unpaid debts to ATB Financial and default on forbearance agreements. The appointed accounting firm has authority to manage daily operations and secure properties by changing locks and door codes.
