Can a christian play the lottery?

I have one of my friend who came from a staunch Christian family. I like to always go out together with us and when we visit the game house we go there together. it got to a point in which it develop interest in lottery and he wants to participate.

The question I want to ask you guys is that can a christian play the lottery? I would like to know your opinion in the comments section thanks in advance.

Religion doesn't have anything to do with betting. It is your personal conviction. You may decide as a Christian to do so and not to do it. But I don't really think it is a matter of religion because no religion will outrightly support it.

May God forgives us all because majority almost participate in betting, which is wrong, a truly devoted Christian should not be involved in betting at all, that's why some countries do not allow betting at all

A pious Christian should not be involved in playing the lottery or any gambling activities in general because these practices are not in line with the tenets of this religion. Also, gambling can render you financially handicapped, to be real

Yes personal value really plays role in such things to be honest indeed actually there are many people who take such things seriously and therefore they tend to have such things avoided because that can make them look not good in eyes of their community indeed .
