Although I actually feel like it could actually cause but depending on the individual , because there are some people that after taking too much alcohol ,they would actually not understand the way they are taking things , they might just invest all their money on gambling , because of that I think

Can excessive intake of alcohol cause gambling addiction?

These are two different things but this is not to say it can't still happen especially if one is under the influence of alcohol. You know one might not be thinking straight at this point and losing big at a game might stem from this.

Alcohol could be a trigger for a gambling addiction because the victim could be using gambling in addition to drinking to relieve his or her mind of the teething problems in their life. It is very worrying that people do this, though

Yeah it can happen especially if the person is drinking or just finished drinking at that point it can be really devastating as playing under that influence might make the person lose a whole lot of money

I also agree with this statement. Once you are under the influence of alcohol, your cognitive thinking is compromised and so anything could happen at that particular instance. It is important to be switched mentally when playing

Exactly I think when one is taking alcohol , the person could actually become subconscious and won't even understand the decision of bets he or she is staking , many would become more confused

This is true. They can make questionable decisions under the influence of alcohol that makes everyone else feel bemused. Therefore, alcohol could even be used as a front for a teething gambling addiction

Yeah many gamblers might take questionable decision when taking alcohol , some might have that confidence to just invest a huge amount of their portfolio , without fear of losing the money after investing it ,that's the thing

This is absolutely true. Some gamblers may use alcohol in order to produce a Dutch courage syndrome which would convince them to go all in while playing a casino game. This is an impulsive action which can be detrimental

The excessive intake of alcohol could lead to addiction because when you take too much of alcohol it will trigger a compulsive gambling and that could make you gamble out of boundary, which is why alcohol not good for gamblers.

Alcohol can skew your mind no doubt, more so when a gambler is drunk. However, if it is the alcohol that is directly influencing their activities akin to an addicted gambler, then I would be hard pressed to declare them an addict because when they are sober, they may even exhibit responsible gambling
