Can government eradicate gambling completely among the citizens?

About 2 years ago there was a complete ban on Twitter in my country. but the fascinating thing is that citizens of the country managed to find a way around this band and access twitter with VPN.

One of the questions I want to ask you guys over here is that can government completely eradicate in gambling among the citizens? I will like to know your opinion on this question thanks in advance.

Some countries prohibits gambling activity and consider it as way for wasting time and money, it depends from each country how do they see the things or how do they consider based on their thinking way. There is no general rules for this.

I know about this but I am asking the question in a country where by people have been engaging in gambling and the government came up all of a sudden to eradicate it I want to know if this will be possible or not.

This is possible. You know a lot of parents has certain money to pay for the bill of electricity and water and think to play gambling like baccarat in order to double this money so the result is reversed and they will not have money to pay for the bill of electricity and water, and gambling is not reversible means if you lose you cannot cancel lose of money, they will then enter in borrow and debt. By lot of complaints country could eradicate it.

I don't think the government can do that , because those that want to still gamble would gamble ,there are other methods or ways gamblers can still even gamble with out the government knowing

I think that our inclination as humans is to gamble, so these checks may be implemented and curtail the large gambling companies out of business, but people will still gamble in their homes

It depends from the regulation as for some countries it is prohibited to gamble on online casino and only gamble in a casino that it is local one as for them it is illegal concurration to country gambling solutions.

This is a good observation, to be honest. Some countries are already restricted from gambling in a certain type of way, so adding the second option as a no-go would eradicate the venture as a whole

For some countries if for example you play on a casino in the country this casino is paying the tax to the governement and all winning from the local casino that citizens are playing are taxed and also there is certain legal agreement which will not be the case if you play on an online casino then state could not tax your activity so this is why this activity is illegal for them.
