I got to know from one of my friends that government has the capability to take lottery winning from the winner for one reason or the other. to be honest this got me leave it a little bit as they are not taking the loose from the winner it is only the winner and it is unfair.

One of the question I want to ask you guys is that Can the government take your lottery? I will be glad if anyone here can tell me if this is possible.

I am not entirely sure that this is possible. Government is not entitled to take away your lottery winnings if you have correctly predicted the winning numbers, unless you have been a serial violator of the laws of the land.

In some cases, the government can take a portion of your lottery winnings. This is known as the "lottery tax," and it's something that you'll need to be aware of if you win a large prize. The amount of the tax will vary depending on your state, but it's typically around 10-15%.
