In the game of Baccarat, neither the player nor the banker has the option to choose to stand. The rules of the game dictate when each side must draw an additional card or stand. The actions are determined by a predetermined set of rules that govern the gameplay.

In Baccarat, the rules for drawing a third card are fixed and follow a specific pattern:

If either the player or the banker has a total of 8 or 9 (known as a "natural"), both sides stand, and no further cards are drawn.

If the player's initial hand has a total of 0-5, they must draw a third card. If the player's initial hand has a total of 6 or 7, the player stands.

If the player's initial hand (the first two cards dealt) has a total of 6 or 7, the player must stand and cannot draw a third card.
- If the player's initial hand has a total of 0 to 5, the player can draw a third card.

It is not up to the player or the banker to decide whether to stand or draw a card. They are both subject to norms that govern their behavior, not free will. Depending on the total value of the banker's opening two cards, the player or banker either draws a third card or decides to stand.

Player's Rule:
If the player's initial two-card hand has a total of 0-5, they must draw a third card.

If the player's initial two-card hand has a total of 6 or 7, the player stands and does not draw a third card.

If the player's initial two-card hand has a total of 8 or 9, it is called a "natural," and neither the player nor the banker draws a third card. The hand is over, and the highest total wins.

Thanks for this informative post...I'm new to this game so I don't have much contribution to make concerning this post. But I'm open to learning tho
How were you able to know that much about casino games?

The player and the banker cannot choose to stand in baccarat. The rules of the game dictate when the player and banker hands must draw another card. The player hand must draw another card if its total is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4. The banker hand must draw another card if its total is 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, or 6. If the player hand has a total of 5 or 6, the banker hand must draw another card if its up card is 6 or 7.
