Last year, Monza's cup run was brief and they were eliminated in the first round. This season, their performance away from home has been a huge issue for them, with just two wins, two draws, and five losses in nine games. Although they are currently three games unbeaten, their form since the world cup has been much better. This includes a crucial 3-2 victory away to Cremonese last weekend, which came after a very respectable 2-2 draw with Inter Milan. Monza has never advanced past the Round of 16, but if they want to continue, they'll have to defeat one of the tournament favorites, which will require a tremendous effort.
