The house Edge on come bets is around 4.8% cause they pay even money though the chances of rolling a 7 before the come point is high. Place bets have a lower house edge of around 1.5% to 2.1%. Though place bets pay more than the bet amount,there are many ways you can lose a place bet.So in my view, place bets are preferable cause they have a lower casino edge despite the smaller payouts. The come bet edge is higher though some players like betting with the roll of dice with come bets.
