I was playing Texas Hold'em with some buddies at the casino. I had pocket aces early in the hand but just called the big blind. The flop was random low cards so I only called the bets again. On the turn, one guy bet big but I still just called. The river paired the board but I stayed calm and matched the final bet. My aces were still best! I showed my hand and raked in the sizable pot. My patience paid off even though at times I felt like folding those 2 aces. I was glad I stayed cool and waited for my aces to become unbeatable.
