Can you recommend any strategies for playing roulette?

Roulette is a bit of a dodgy game, innit? The odds are always stacked against you, what with the extra 0 and 00 slots on the wheel giving the house a clear advantage. Not terribly sporting, that.

The strategies some chaps go on about, like only betting on red or only betting on even numbers, are a load of old tosh. Might win you a few quid in the short term, but the house will inevitably clean you out if you keep at it.

Best strategy is not to get too caught up in strategies at all. Enjoy a few casual flutters if you're out for a bit of fun, but don't get too serious about trying to win money. Set a strict limit for how much you're willing to lose and don't go over it. If you're not winning or you've had a few too many drinks and your judgment goes belly up, call it a night.

Otherwise you'll end up like my mate Nigel who lost his entire trust fund in one painful night at the tables. Better off not being Nigel, eh?
