Canadian rapper loses $500,000 after betting on outcomes of NBA and NHL finals

The famous Canadian, Drake, recently lost $500,000 in Bitcoin after placing a bet on the Dallas Mavericks to defeat the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. With this win, the Celtics have won eighteen championships.


If the Mavericks had prevailed, the rapper would have received a $875,000 Bitcoin payout. His latest daring wager, which aims to make up for his losses, is a half-million Bitcoin wager on the Edmonton Oilers to defeat the Florida Panthers in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.

Sometimes, i use to wonder if Drake is actually gambling such huge amount away or is it a public stunt to attract publicity and social media content creating strategy. Am even thinking that there is possibility that Drake is indirectly advertising for the casino and gambling house.
