Cashless gambling to be tested across New South Wales

Liquor & Gaming New South Wales will oversee trials of cashless gaming technology, hosted by The Independent Panel on Gaming Reform.

Following Liquor & Gaming NSW’s recent cashless gaming trials with the likes of Aristocrat, Utopia, IGT and Light & Wonder, the regulator is opening up invitations to apply to participate in the cashless gaming trial.

The Independent Panel on Gaming Reform has issued invitations for venues and technology providers to apply to participate.

In order to take part in the cashless gaming trials, applicants must meet the minimum requirements set by The Independent Panel, including harm minimisation protections, anti-money laundering protections and data security & privacy protections.

Cashless systems have the potential to bolster security by diminishing the problems or deceit linked with tangible currency. Transactions are frequently encoded and vigilantly scrutinized to identify any dubious behavior.
