Casino Crime Roundup: Two Apprehended, Devices Seized After Texas Gambling Raid

A suspected employee and a second person were detained on Monday after a raid targeted an illegal gaming operation in San Antonio, Texas’ Northeast Side, authorities said.

The second person had in his possession possible marijuana and a firearm, Texas TV station KSAT reported. Several gaming machines were also seized in the search, according to Texas TV station KTSA.

Initially, no one answered when sheriff’s deputies knocked on the door armed with a search warrant. They later forced open the door and, once inside, they saw some 10 people playing slot machines, KTSA reported. It is unclear if they will be charged.

The charges on the two apprehended suspects were not immediately known.
