Casino employees in Detroit have gone on strike.

Thousands of employees at Detroit’s largest casinos went on strike on Tuesday, adding to Michigan’s already challenging labor issues. The 4,000 workers, who are members of the Detroit Casino Council, work in various roles within the casino industry, ranging from technical professionals to custodial staff. This work stoppage has a significant impact on three prominent casinos in Detroit: MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown. Despite the strike, the casinos have assured their commitment to remaining operational.
