Casino entrance fees increased in Sri Lanka budget

Following his election last year, the president of Sri Lanka unveiled his first budget, with gambling as a major theme.

First, the two casinos in the country will charge an entrance fee of $100 per person, which is double the previous amount.

Additionally, the 15% turnover tax on gaming establishments has been raised to 18%.

The newly elected president is attempting to increase revenue and strengthen Sri Lanka's economy with this budget, which also includes several measures pertaining to other sectors.
