Casino gambling in Nebraska surprises critics with low crime rates

Opponents of the decision to legalize casino gambling in Nebraska predicted negative outcomes for the state, including a rise in crime rates.
These worries, however, turned out to be unfounded a year after WarHorse Lincoln, the first casino in Nebraska with a state license, opened.

The Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission, which is in charge of regulating the state's casinos, has taken proactive measures to address any potential problems involving these facilities. The commission has mandated staff training and the posting of human trafficking awareness posters and hotlines in casino restrooms in an effort to combat the issue of human trafficking, which is occasionally connected to casinos.

It's good to see that Nebraska was able to open casinos without seeing a spike in crime like some opponents predicted. Every new business brings some risks, but it seems the gambling commission there has done a good job putting regulations in place to help things run smoothly. As long as places are well-managed and follow the rules, most people can probably enjoy casino gaming responsibly.
