Casino smoking opponents argue violation of workers' rights

Those opposed to smoking in Atlantic City casinos contend that the 2006 Smoke-Free Air Act infringes upon rights to workplace health protection in their appeal to the New Jersey Supreme Court.

In almost all public and workplace settings, smoking indoors was outlawed in 2006 by law. A tobacco ban was, however, exempted from state law nearly twenty years ago for cigar lounges, horse racetracks, parimutuel wagering establishments, hotels, and motels where a minimum of ten table games and 150 slot machines could be found, as well as for casinos.

It is indeed within their rights to do so , but the monopoly is that the casinos are businesses that have the power and influence to get the decisions done in their favor always and that is why the workers can't have a say in such things
