Cyprus has been making a lot of money from taxes collected from casinos. Since a temporary casino opened in Limassol in 2018, tax revenue has been going up.
Now, the government has received €63 million in taxes from the main casino and €25 million from yearly license fees.
The chairman of the Gaming Authority said they're seeing more visitors, especially since tensions in Israel eased. They expect earnings to keep rising.
