On Thursday, a hearing was held by the Nevada Gaming Control Board to discuss a request from Century Casinos. Additionally, Century Casinos' application to become the new owner of Nugget Casino Resort was unanimously approved by the Board. In February 2022, Century Casinos declared its intention to pay a total of $195 million to buy the nearby Nugget Casino Resort. The casino was acquired from Las Vegas-based Marnell Gaming, which also owns several resorts in Nevada.The commissioners also approved the retention of seven Century executives and board members.
