The entire earnings from this year's Britannia Stakes race at Royal Ascot are being donated to UK charities by a number of British bookmakers.
Prostate Cancer UK, Ascot Racecourse Supports, Missing People, HEROS, GoRacingGreen, and the Churchill Lines Foundation will share the profits from the well-known feature handicap, which takes place on June 20, for the fifth year in a row.
Specifically, bookmakers will transfer all winnings from both win and each-way wagers on the renowned big-field heritage handicap to the player following the deduction of taxes and fees.
It has also been agreed that bookmakers will donate a total of £200,000 to the nominated charities in the event that they are not profitable from the race.
