Cherokee Nation tries to dismiss Gulfside casino lawsuit in Arkansas

The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma is still having problems in Arkansas because a lawsuit has been filed to contest the tribe's casino license. The tribal entity's Cherokee Nation Entertainment and Cherokee Nation Businesses requested that the lawsuit be dismissed by a federal court in an attempt to obtain their license.

On the other hand, counsel for the Cherokee people requested that the court dismiss the lawsuit. They contended that since taking office in January 2019, the judge has considered the submissions from several applicants. As per their statement, he has made the consistent decision to support Cherokee Nation Business exclusively.
