Interestingly, the original English National League game will also be played today, but I've chosen to focus on the rematch, which will take place on Sunday, January 1st, on a field that has been turned around. It goes without saying that today's matchup features the third best attack and the third terrible defense of the competition, but I find Sunday's point of view more useful because Chesterfield's home-field advantage and Scunthorpe's travel distance highlight the two teams' individual strengths and weaknesses more. Even if I assume both games will end with at least 3 goals combined, I like the odds more than they are right now. wishing everyone a great and wonderful new year, along with their families and loved ones.
