Major casino operators are the target of legal action from the National Economic Prosecutor's Office in Chile. In recent casino license bids, they have been accused of collusion.
The inquiry into the operators' lack of competition was started in February 2022 by an anonymous tip. Surprisingly low bids from the companies for their main gaming halls were disclosed in the complaint.
Allegedly, the operators' economic offers were less than one percent of their average gross gaming revenue per year. Their 2018–2019 earnings for the same casinos served as the basis for this calculation.
