Chinese Company Found Guilty in L.A. Councilman's $1,000,000 Casino Chip Bribery Case

Chinese real estate developer Shenzhen New World Group and its wealthy owner, Wei Huang, 57, were found guilty on Thursday by a federal jury in Los Angeles of bribing LA Councilman Jose Huizar with more than $1 million.
Jose Huizar, pictured above, will stand trial in February after entering a not-guilty plea to receiving payments. Shenzen New World was found guilty on Thursday of paying him to favorably review its downtown Los Angeles development project.
