Guys, when you're at the tables do you see an itch to call every raise just cause the cards look half decent? Remember, it's not about every small pot right now, it's about the big pots coming later. If the cards aren't great and the raise is hefty, it may be wise to fold now and wait for premium hands where you can win much more. Thoughts? Chip up or fold with discipline; that's what can take us from amateur to pro.

I completely agree with you, it's important to have discipline and make smart decisions at the table. Too often, players get caught up in the excitement of the moment and make impulsive decisions that can cost them in the long run. Folding in certain situations may seem like a missed opportunity in the short term, but it can actually be the right decision if it enables you to preserve your stack for bigger pots when you have stronger hands. In addition to playing premium hands, it's also important to consider position, reads on your opponents, and the overall dynamic of the table when making decisions. Playing with discipline and a long-term strategy in mind can definitely help elevate your game from amateur to pro.

I think from a strategic perspective, sacrificing a smaller pot for a bigger one later can be a valid option in poker. It involves making a calculated decision to fold a hand that has potential to win a smaller pot in the current round of play, in order to preserve one's chip stack and increase the chances of winning a bigger pot in later rounds.
