Government officials joined Choctaw Tribal authorities on Wednesday to officially start construction on the community's new travel plaza.Representatives from the offices of Congressman Michael Guest, Governor Tate Reeve, and the City of Louisville were present.Additionally, a fuelling facility will be built to serve both commercial and passenger vehicles.The Louisville Travel Plaza is expected to offer about 100 jobs to locals, and it will be open around-the-clock. They will hold a Tribal-wide competition to name the new development as a way to commemorate the new construction. Before the building opens in the summer of 2024, this name will take the place of the temporary one of Louisville Travel Plaza.
