Colombian gambling regulator comes under investigation due to social media raffles

For suspected illegal activity, the Colombian gambling regulator is looking into 35 influencers and businesses that use social media to run raffles and promotions.In addition to these 35 cases, the regulator is looking into 79 more social media accounts that run unlawful raffles but do not belong to identifiable individuals. In Colombia, it is illegal to operate games of chance and luck without permission. If the regulator finds someone administratively guilty, they will not be allowed to continue with the activity and will be fined 100 times the current legal minimum wage per month.
 
The Colombian gambling regulator is investigating 35 influencers and businesses accused of promoting illegal raffles and games of chance on social media.
