Colorado gaming commission approves two-year trial of fixed-odds horse betting

The Limited Gaming Control Commission of Colorado has given the green light to the state's trial of fixed-odds horse betting. Following approval in a vote last month, gambling companies are poised to offer fixed odds products for a duration of two years.

This decision positions Colorado as the second state, following New Jersey, to permit fixed-odds horse racing betting. After years of dedicated efforts to secure approval for fixed odds, the determination has been reached, and numerous operators in the state have expressed their support for the proposal.

This is great news for horse racing fans in Colorado. Fixed odds betting gives people more predictability and control over their wagers compared to pari-mutuel. I'm sure this trial will be popular and hopefully it gets approved long-term after the two years are up.
