Community remains opposed to Camrose Casino relocation after application renewed

After being rejected the previous year, a rural casino is putting in another application to move to south Edmonton.

Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis is currently taking public comments on the Camrose Casino's re-application to move to an empty lot at 420 Parsons Road.

Residents concerned that the 60,000-square-foot casino would exacerbate traffic in the area opposed the application when it was submitted last year.

The Camrose Casino is reapplying to relocate to south Edmonton after its initial proposal was rejected. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis is currently gathering public feedback on the application for a 60,000-square-foot casino at 420 Parsons Road. Last year, residents expressed concerns over potential traffic issues in the area, which led to opposition against the move.
