Talk to me about counting cards in blackjack or figuring the return on investment for different poker starting hands. Those are calculations I can have a thoughtful discussion over drinks about.
But comparing poker odds to the probability of picking up gear in some first-person shooter video game? That's the kind of nonsense that makes me question why I spent my money to come play cards in the first place. There are fancier ways I could randomly determine winners and losers tonight than sitting at a poker table with this joker talking like I'm going to start hedging my bets based on pixelated loot drops.
Either put a bet in the pot or find another table. The games I play don't have any pause or respawn buttons.
