Connecticut dog trainer accused of animal abuse admits gambling addiction

A puppy in the care of a Connecticut dog trainer died, and she has now admitted she was on a casino bender at the time.

Investigators claimed in a 15-page police report that they spoke with the suspect for three hours, 45 minutes. She admitted having gambling problems and going to the casino every day before and after work throughout the interrogation, changing her tale.

A gambling addiction can really take over people's lives and cause them to ignore responsibilities. Hopefully she gets help and doesn't harm other animals. Regulations for dog trainers may need to be examined too to prevent such tragedies.
