Cordish Companies unveil plans for $1.4billion mixed-use casino development project

The Cordish Companies revealed information about their updated proposal on Monday for a $1.4 billion mixed-use project in Petersburg, Virginia, that includes an integrated resort casino.

In 2022, Petersburg was initially presented with a casino proposal by Cordish, the company that runs Live! casinos and hospitality districts. The Baltimore-based company has revised and bolstered its pitch, taking advantage of the increasing likelihood that the Virginia city will receive a gaming license through state legislation and a subsequent local referendum.
