Cricketer banned from sport after investigation into 303 betting charges

The Cricket Regulator has banned a cricket player for Durham County and the England national team due to betting violations.

Thirteen of the offender's suspensions will last two years each, totaling a 16-month ban from professional cricket. The player cannot compete between May 28, 2024, and August 28, 2024, due to this.

Despite noting that he did not place any bets on games in which he was participating, the regulator charged the player with placing 303 bets on cricket matches between 2017 and 2019.

When the regulator reached its decision, it also took into account a few mitigating factors. This involved admitting to the accusations, helping the regulator with its investigation, and expressing regret for his conduct.
