Crown Perth Casino, one of the largest casinos in Western Australia, will be implementing a $10 betting limit on electronic gaming machines (EGMs) from 1 July 2023. The decision to impose the betting limit was endorsed by Racing and Gaming Minister, Paul Papalia, and is aimed at promoting responsible gaming and reducing gambling-related harm.
In addition to the betting limits, Crown Perth Casino will also introduce time limits on EGMs and electronic table games (ETGs) to encourage responsible gaming behavior. The casino has a Responsible Gaming Code of Conduct that outlines its commitment to promoting responsible gaming practices, including training staff to identify and assist problem gamblers.
