Deceased film writer's carer admits stealing £75,000 to fund gambling addiction

Shortly before he passed away, the caretaker of an Emmy-winning film writer admitted to stealing over £75,000 from him to feed his addiction to gambling.

The offender acknowledged that, having been "entrusted his care" for the renowned Thunderbirds writer, he had unintentionally plundered his finances.

Living in a home that the deceased had purchased for him, the suspect took thousands of pounds from the helpless and blind pensioner in order to escape the financial trap that gambling had put him in.
